560 entries in, some rubbish, some pure ranting and some that perhaps stimulate some thought, i've decided to change my blog a little. sure, i'm still gonna use this as ranting space, but i'm gonna interject a little more smarts into this space. for one, i miss writing. so i'm gonna pick up random topics that interest me, do a little research and write a short paper of sorts (complete with proper punctuation!). also, i might include reviews (books and theatre)...heh. one topic i would have done if i were a linguistics major is the bastardisation of the english language in popular culture, so i might explore that soon. being a lazy bag of bones, don't expect much of me. also, i'm half-tempted to close this blog to friends-only, especially if i'm gonna have papers published online. i don't want to be freely plagiarised. i don't actually know how to do the friends-only thing yet, but when i figure out, no worries, i'll let you in on it as long as i know you (or you're on my facebook...) haha!
so this was really random...and mostly spurred on by a proposition to collaborate on writing a paper for publication. which is terribly exciting! i really hope it happens.. (:
